Program:
Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok.
Arrival at Bangkok International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon to spend relaxing or visiting
the city. Free dinner. First overnight in Bangkok.
Day 2: Ayutthaya, And Thong e Wat Muang, Phi Chit con il Wat Mai Plan Huai
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Early in the morning, you head to the north to Ayutthaya. The
city was the capital of the Kings of Siam for over 400 years. The visit
starts with the ruins of the famous bell-shaped pagodas in the ancient
royal palace, Wat Sri Samphet. Besides there is the famous Wat
Monhkon Bophit with its imposing and Venetian statue of the sitting
Buddha. You will also visit the Cambodian-style pagodas of the
immense Wat Chai Wattanaram, situated in a scenic location on the
banks of the Chao Praya river. Lunch. From Ayutthaya you travel a
short distance to reach And Thong and the temple of Wat Muang,
known for its majestic Golden Buddha. With a height of 92m and a
width of 63m he represents the largest and most venerated statue of Thailand. The tour continues to the
north to Phi Chit, where you will visit one of the most unusual shrines in the country, Wat Mai Plai Huai. You
will discover a complex of temples situated in a part of Thailand still unknown to mass tourism. It is a place
of prayer and pilgrimage with mystical representations of Buddhist life, imposing sanctuaries, statues of
animals which are considered sacred and endowed with supernatural powers. From Phi Chit you move to
Phitsanulok, located between the rice fields of the central highlands. In the late afternoon/early evening you
arrive at the Pattara Resort . Dinner at free disposal and overnight stay in superior rooms.
Day 3: Sukhothai, experience on an organic farm, Chiang Mai
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. The tour starts with a visit of one of the most important
archaeological sites in South East Asia, declared World Heritage by
UNESCO - Sukhothai, the first capital of Siam, cradle of Thai art,
language and culture. To make it happen was the great King
Ramkhameng, whose statue is placed at the entrance of the Historical
Park. You will visit the temples of Wat Mahathat, Wat Sa Sri and Wat Sri
Sawai, immersed in the tranquility of the Thai countryside. The excursion
includes a bicycle ride or a ride with electric trains provided by the local
authorities. Afterwards you are going to the Wat Sri Chum with a majestic
Buddha of 15m. The next stop, in the picturesque and more traditional
rural province, is an organic farm near Sri Satchanalai. You will be able
to observe different crops and the different stages of maturation as well as the processing of rice, very
appreciated in the Thai and Asian cuisine. The visit ends with a lunch on the farm with dishes prepared by
the farm´s organic ingredients. The tour continues to the north to the territory of the ancient Kingdom of
Lanna. Chiang Mai (“Rose of the North”) has been the capital for more than 5 centuries. Arrival at the Shewe
Wana Boutique Resort and overnight stay in superior rooms or, alternatively at the Bodhi Serene Chiang
Mai (accomodation in superior rooms) or at the Aruntara River Side (accommodation in deluxe rooms).
Time to relax. Dinner at free disposal and overnight stay in Chiang Mai.
