    Day 3 - (Kamphaeng Phet - Lampang).
After breakfast, visit the historical park
Kamphaeng Phet was already a royal city in the Sukhothai kingdom in the 14th century, later known by
its old name Chakangrao. It formed an important part of the kingdom's
defense system, as well as later the Ayutthaya Kingdom. Kamphaeng
Phet Historical Park is an archaeological site that Together with
Sukhothai Historical Park and Si Satchanalai Historical Park, is part
of the historical city of Sukhothai and associated historical cities of the
UNESCO World Heritage. The main attractions of the historical park of
Kamphaeng Phet include archaeological remains of ancient sites such
as Mueang Chakangrao to the east of the Ping River, Mueang
Nakhon Chum to the west and Mueang Trai Trueng about 18 km from
the city to the southwest. Chakangrao, the ancient city of Kamphaeng Phet, had the same urban planning
concept as old Sukhothai and Si Satchanalai, with separate zones for religious sites within and outside the
city limits. The structures are generally large and made of laterite. Religious sites on the west bank of the
Ping River at Nakhon Chum are built of brick and smaller in size. The city walls and the ancient fortifications
mark the boundary of the rectangular urban area, 300-700 meters wide and 2,200 meters long.

    Day 4 - (Lampang – Chiang mai).
    After breakfast visit the Temples:
Lampang, also called Nakhon Lampang to differentiate itself from Lampang province, is the third largest
city in Northern Thailand and the capital of Lampang province and
Lampang district. Traditional Lampang names include Wiang Lakon and
Khelang Nakhon. The city is a commercial and transportation center.
Lampang is located 601 km north of Bangkok and 101 km south-east of
                                        Chiang Mai.
Lampang was an important city in the kingdom of Lanna. However, its
historical significance is largely overshadowed by Chiang Mai or Chiang
Rai which were traditional seats of government and whose stories were
well recorded in the news. After decades of wars with Ava Burmese and
Ayudhya during the 17th-18th centuries, the region was in decline, severely depopulated and subject to
Burmese control. In the late 18th century, the famous shooter and Lampang native Nan Thip Chang
assassinated the local Burmese leader at Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, and led an uprising that led to
a rollback of Burmese rule over Lanna. Allies of Bangkok, the descendants of Nan Thip Chang, known as
Chao Ched Ton (the seven princes), became the vassal kings of the various Lanna cities until the
annexation of Lanna in Siam (Thailand) proper by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V)
